Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026 · v1.1

We collect the minimum needed to run the Service: your account details and basic usage activity. We do not sell your data, and we do not collect the financial holdings or portfolios you analyze (those come from public SEC filings).

1.Who we are

MarkQuality (“we”, “us”) operates the MarkQuality platform. For questions about this policy or your data, contact privacy@markquality.io.

2.Data we collect

Account data you provide at sign-up: name, work email, organization name, firm type, and role. Content you create: notes, tags, watchlists, and annotations you add in the product, together with the author and timestamp; where you choose shared visibility, this content is visible to members of your organization. Usage data: actions in the product (e.g., pages viewed, exports generated), timestamps, and technical metadata such as IP address and browser type, used for security and product analytics. We do not collect special-category personal data, and the BDC/fund holdings you analyze are public filing data, not your personal data.

3.How we use your data

To provide and secure the Service; to authenticate you and manage your organization’s access; to understand and improve product usage; to communicate with you about your account, access, and (where relevant) billing; and to comply with legal obligations.

4.Legal bases

Where applicable (e.g., under GDPR), we process account data to perform our contract with you, usage and security data under our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the Service, and other data with your consent or to meet legal obligations.

5.Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the platform — including cloud hosting and database (e.g., Vercel, Supabase) and transactional email — under contracts that require appropriate protection. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

6.Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service, and limited analytics to measure product usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7.Retention

We keep account data for as long as your organization has an account, and usage/security logs for a limited period consistent with operating and securing the Service. On account closure we delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

8.Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, organization-scoped data isolation, and invite-only or authenticated access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach affecting you, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by applicable law.

9.Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request portability. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@markquality.io.

10.International transfers

We may process data in jurisdictions other than your own (e.g., where our providers operate). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11.Children

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12.Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will reflect changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
